Solid-State Metal-Rich Materials: Crystal Structures and Chemical Bonding with Joyce Pham, PhDAdd Title Here

The Solid-State Chemistry Phamily research group at Cal State San Bernardino focuses on discovering new metal-rich materials with specific emphasis on elucidating structural and chemical-bonding features in these extended solids. This seminar discusses some of the previous and ongoing projects of Professor Pham and with undergraduate student. It will touch upon synthesis from high temperatures, solving crystal structures, and using chemistry principles to rationalize interatomic interactions. There will also be time for students to inquire about the professional trajectory of the speaker.
